IATSE LOCAL 336 was chartered in 1962 when a group of projectionists recognized the growing need for stagehands to cover the growing labor needs of Phoenix's Stage/Theater and Convention industry.

With over 55 years of experience Local 336 has continued to grow in diversity and skills. In 2002 our founding Projectionist Local 294 merged bringing projectionist skills, in 2011 Wardrobe Local 875 merged providing dresser, sewing, hair and make-up skills and in 2013 the Studio Mechanics rejoined Local 336 to round off our skills to include film/commercial/media jurisdiction for the State of Arizona.   

We provide training opportunities through ASETT (Arizona Stage and Exhibition Training Trust) and IATSE TTF for all those who work through our referral system.
